Can you putt like Rory McIlroy this Easter weekend?

Because it’s Week Two of a very special putting event in Manchester, created by Zen Green Stage and American Golf – and of course, this time it’s Rory McIlroy week.

Over the four-day Easter long weekend, starting on Good Friday 18th April, the American Golf store at Trafford Golf Centre is giving visitors the opportunity to hit a selection of the most significant Rory McIlroy putts from his dramatic final round last weekend on Masters Sunday.

Seven putts from McIlroy’s history-making round of golf have all been recreated exactly on the adjustable, 20ft long Zen Green Stage at American Golf – famous for its lightning-fast putting surface and its ability to create almost limitless different gradients.

Last weekend it was Scottie Scheffler’s putts from his winning round in the 2024 Masters which drew the crowds onto the Green Stage, but this weekend people can try the following seven Rory putts:

  • 3rd hole, birdie, 8ft, HOLED, left to right, downhill
  • 5th hole, par, 7ft, HOLED, left to right, downhill
  • 7th hole, birdie, 10ft, MISSED, left to right, downhill
  • 9th hole, birdie, 7ft, HOLED, right to left, uphill
  • 10th hole, birdie, 16ft, HOLED, right to left, uphill
  • 14th hole, par, 9ft, MISSED, right to left, downhill
  • Play Off 18th hole, birdie, 3ft, HOLED FOR GRAND SLAM, straight, downhill

That’s seven lightning-fast, challenging, breaking putts with the flavour of Augusta National, including uphill, downhill and sidehill putts.

Can YOU hole the Grand Slam-winning putt?

Zen staff have remotely upgraded American Golf’s Zen Green Stage – which can recreate over nine billion different sloping putts – to give you the closest you can get to a real Masters Tournament putting experience.

No purchase is necessary, and the event is open to all. You don’t even have to be a golfer, just head upstairs in the American Golf store to have a go. Equipment is provided, or buy your own at one of the UK’s largest golf stores.

All you have to do is step onto the Zen Green Stage and have fun attempting three randomly-given putts.

It’s the ideal family-friendly event for the Easter weekend, and while you’re there why not have a round of crazy golf on the spectacular Dino Falls Adventure Golf course!

The tournament, which is open to all ages, takes place in the store across the entire Easter Weekend from Friday 18th to Monday 21st April. No prior booking needed.
